Qualifications

• BS degree in Medical Lab Science; NAACLS accredited program preferred.
• Meets requirements to sit for CLS/MT Certification exam.
• Louisiana license as CLG/CLS preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform clinical laboratory testing of blood and body fluids.
• Operate, calibrate and troubleshoot laboratory instruments.
• Respond to verification and documentation requirements.
• Ensure specimen quality and proper handling.
• Report results within established turnaround times.
• Maintain quality control as specified and follow safety policies.
• Assist with training and orientation of staff and students.
