Clinical Lab Scientist/MLS/Med Tech (1.5 hrs from Sacramento, CA)
  • Full-time
  • A healthcare system servicing California, Hawaii, Oregon, and Washington, with over 235 clinics, outpatient centers, and nearly 20 hospitals with more than 2,700 beds, is seeking a Clinical Laboratory Scientist/Medical Technologist.

    Offers a competitive hourly rate (between $30 - $50/hr), benefits, relocation assistance, and more.

    Job Purpose

    Supervise phlebotomists, offer suggestions, and provide guidance as needed. Perform specimen processing and testing using standard lab practices and quality control.

    Maintain compliance with environmental safety, infection control, emergency response/disaster protocols.

    Participate in departmental performance improvement and quality assurance activities, understanding how they relate to your role.

    Essential Duties and Responsibilities

    Adjust daily work assignments to meet department demands.

    Demonstrate knowledge of technical lab aspects, such as equipment maintenance and data interpretation.

    As per license scope, trainees may only review and perform patient testing.

    Properly use and maintain tools and equipment according to department and hospital policies.

    Supervise phlebotomists, providing guidance and suggestions as needed.

    Education and Qualifications

    Required Licenses/Certifications: California Clinical Laboratory Scientist License.
