Job summary

Clinlab.AI is seeking a talented and detail-oriented Clinical Lab Scientist (CLS) to join our team in Florida. You will perform testing and lead a team of technicians in Chemistry, Special Chemistry, Hematology and/or Coagulation, delivering accurate results and ensuring quality controls.

You will train staff, collaborate with office personnel, and travel to neighboring labs to provide support as needed. A Florida CLS license with ASCP certification and strong communication skills are required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Biology, Chemistry, Medical Technology or related life science.
• Florida CLS license with ASCP certification - must possess for position.
• 2+ years of CLS experience in a clinical laboratory.
• Effective communication skills in English, both verbal and written.
• Exceptional organizational skills with the ability to set priorities.
• Proficiency in computer skills and experience with a laboratory information system.
• Experience as a Generalist in Chemistry, Immunology, and Hematology.
• Familiarity with Beckman AU Systems, Beckman Access Systems, or Roche Cobas System is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain strong relationships with physicians and staff.
• Collaborate with Lab and Office Staff to ensure timely and accurate testing.
• Train, onboard and lead lab assistants and technicians.
• Travel to neighboring labs to provide support and coverage as needed.
• Perform tests in Chemistry, Immunoassay, Hematology, and Molecular testing.
• Follow procedures for specimen handling, processing, testing, reporting, and record-keeping.
• Demonstrate troubleshooting skills on automated instruments.
• Provide accurate test results within turnaround times.
• Maintain proficiency/testing records per CLIA and CAP guidelines.
• Adhere to CLIA, HIPAA, OSHA and safety guidelines.
• Identify and address issues impacting test performance promptly.
• Document corrective actions when systems deviate from specs.
