Job summary

Qualifications

• Experience performing clinical laboratory testing of specimens.

• Experience calibrating, standardizing, and maintaining instruments.
• Ability to train staff and students in procedures and instrumentation.
• Familiarity with preventive maintenance of laboratory equipment.

Responsibilities

• Performs clinical laboratory testing of specimens (blood, urine, other body fluids) using manual or automated methods.
• Provides technical guidance and quality assurance oversight on laboratory processes.
• Calibrates, standardizes, adjusts, and maintains instruments.
• Recommends new or modified procedures when appropriate.
• Trains new staff and students in procedures and workload organization.
• Performs preventive maintenance for all instruments.
