Job summary

The position is onsite, with 5-day weeks and multiple shifts (AM/PM/AM weekend variants). California CLS or CGMBS license and 0–4 years in a clinical lab are preferred, plus experience with DNA/RNA extractions and library

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree, preferably in sciences or related disciplines.
California Clinical Laboratory Scientist license OR CGMBS license.
0-4 years of experience in a clinical laboratory setting.

Responsibilities

Maintain updated understanding and knowledge of the lab methods and communicate results to physicians.
Supervise lab activities in the absence of the onsite manager.
Identify problems that may affect test performance or reporting and address them.
Participate in licensure and quality management activities for the lab and respond to inspections.
Train CLS personnel and supervise non-licensed staff as needed.
Follow established policies, quality controls and documentation to ensure compliance.
Assist in assay development activities as needed.
Other duties as required.
