Job summary

Quest Diagnostics Incorporated in West Hills, CA is seeking a Clinical Lab Scientist I to join the Pain Management department. The schedule is Thursday to Monday, 6:00 AM to 2:30 PM, on-site.

You will perform moderate to high complexity clinical tests, prepare reagents, evaluate specimens, input results, and monitor turnaround times. This role requires a California CLS license and a Bachelor's degree in Medical Technology or a life/physical science.

Qualifications

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, Outlook).
• Good typing skills.
• Automation skills helpful for routine lab tasks.

Responsibilities

• Perform moderate to highly complex clinical tests following procedures and policies.
• Prepare reagents, media, stock solutions, and quality controls; test new reagents.
• Determine specimen acceptability and calculate results using manual or computerized methods.
• Enter results accurately; monitor reports and maintain turnaround times.
• Perform instrument maintenance, calibration, and quality control checks.
• Ensure proper labeling and tracking of reagents and supplies; maintain a safe work area.
