UNC Health is seeking Medical Laboratory Scientists I or II in Smithfield, North Carolina. The role involves performing waived, moderate, and high complexity CLIA testing and supporting clinical activities.

Training and education are provided, with responsibilities to ensure accuracy and timely reporting of results on site. MLS II requires relevant degree and certification with 2 years of experience; MLS I may require less experience depending on credentials.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Clinical/Medical Laboratory Science or related field.
• Two years of experience for MLS II; no experience required for MLS I depending on certification.
• Licensure: MT/MLS (ASCP) or MT/MLS (AMT) as applicable.

Responsabilités

• Perform waived/POC, moderate, and high complexity CLIA testing.
• Perform quality control and proficiency testing; monitor accuracy of results.
• Prepare reagents and assist with standard/control materials.
