Job summary

BayCare’s Winter Haven Hospital is seeking a Clinical Laboratory Scientist I to support diagnostic testing and quality control in a high‑performing laboratory. You will perform tests, report results, and help ensure regulatory compliance in a fast-paced environment.

The role requires at least an Associate’s degree in medical technology or a related field, with clinical lab experience. Preferred candidates hold a Bachelor's degree and are prepared to work on a weekend schedule onsite.

Qualifications

• Associate’s degree in Medical Technology or a related field is required.
• Bachelor’s degree in a related field is preferred.
• Clinical laboratory experience required.

Responsibilities

• Perform diagnostic testing and quality control procedures.
• Prepare reagents and report test results following policies.
• Review and oversee moderate to high‑complexity testing.
• Maintain laboratory equipment, instrumentation, and supply inventory.
• Monitor computer applications related to laboratory operations.
• Ensure accuracy, quality, and regulatory compliance in all testing activities.
• Perform other duties as assigned to support laboratory operations.
