Job summary

First Roles in Rosemead, CA is seeking a Clinical Laboratory Scientist I to perform a range of tests (chemical, hematological, immunohematological, serological and microbiological) to aid diagnosis and treatment. Under supervision, you will analyze specimens, run quality control, calibrate equipment, evaluate results, and determine reportability.

California licensure as a Clinical Laboratory Scientist is required; CLS or CLS-Intern experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• Current California State Clinical Laboratory Scientist License.
• Experience as Clinical Laboratory Scientist or Clinical Laboratory Scientist Intern preferred.

Responsibilities

• Analyze clinical laboratory specimens following the standard methods and procedures.
• Performs tests calibrations and runs Quality Control materials at appropriate intervals, and
• Evaluates results to decide whether tests should be reported.
• Determines the acceptability of specimens for testing according to established criteria.
• Evaluates the acceptability of analysis prior to releasing patient results.
• Responsible for scheduled preventative maintenance and laboratory equipment calibration.
• Accurately performs and records proficiency testing.
• Adheres to regulatory requirements and performs related tasks as needed or instructed.

Job description
