Job summary

UC Davis is seeking a licensed Clinical Laboratory Scientist to support routine and investigational testing at the Center for Diagnostic Innovation. This role conducts moderate and high complexity testing under CLIA and supports coordinating research labs within the department.

Located in the Sacramento area, the position offers 100% on-site work with comprehensive benefits and opportunities to contribute to translational diagnostics and patient care across multiple specialties.

Qualifications

• California State License for Clinical Laboratory Science or equivalent specialty license as defined in Division 2, Chapter 3 of the California Business and Professional Code.
• Must possess California State Issued Clinical Laboratory Science license as appropriate for job responsibilities (current and renewed every two years as required).
• Bachelor's degree in related area and, or equivalent experience/training.
• Experience in Clinical Laboratory Science or related field.
• Technical knowledge in one or more of the following sections: Chemistry, Hematology/Hemostasis/Special Coagulation, Immunology, Microbiology, Molecular Pathology, Point of Care Testing, Special Chemistry, and/or Toxicology.

Responsibilities

• Conduct moderate and high complexity testing under CLIA.
• Support development of new clinical tests and investigational studies.
• Coordinate research lab activities within the Department of Pathology and Laboratory Medicine.
