Job summary

Labcorp is seeking a Clinical Lab Scientist to join the Stat Lab in San Leandro, CA. The role supports daily operations and ensures accurate test results for patient care, with a Monday–Friday schedule from 8:30am to 5:00pm.

The ideal candidate holds a Bachelor’s degree in a Chemical or Biological Science or Medical Technology, a CA CLS license (Generalist), and 1+ year of CLS experience, along with strong communication and meticulous attention to detail.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a Chemical or Biological Science, Clinical Laboratory Science, or Medical Technology with CA CLS license.
• 1+ year of experience as a CLS (Generalist).
• Proficient with Laboratory Information Systems and Microsoft Office.

Responsibilities

• Assist the supervisor with the day-to-day operations of the Stat Lab.
• Send daily, weekly and monthly production reports to management.
• Assist with training of new hires and development of current employees.
• Monitor, operate and troubleshoot instrumentation to ensure proper functionality.
• Report accurate and timely test results to deliver quality patient care.
• Maintain a safe work environment and wear appropriate PPE.
