Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• AAS degree or 2 years of college with biology emphasis preferred.
• 1 year laboratory experience preferred.

Responsabilités

• Perform a variety of technical assignments in the pre-analytical phase of testing.
• Use safety standards properly when processing specimens.
• Apply knowledge of terminology and practices to ensure accurate results and patient safety.
• Process and interpret information involving specimens to ensure proper testing and integrity.
• Understand revenue cycle as it pertains to the laboratory and fulfill obligations.

Formation

High school diploma

AAS degree or 2 years of college in biological sciences

1 year laboratory experience

Pre-analytical processing knowledge

Register patients and enter lab orders (McKesson modules)

Billing charges auditing
