Job summary

Providence St. Joseph's Hospital in Chewelah, WA is seeking Laboratory Assistants II to support clinical laboratory duties including phlebotomy (capillary, venipuncture, arterial), specimen processing, and LIS testing under supervision.

Qualifications

• Within 90 days of hire: Washington Medical Assistant Phlebotomist Certification
• Clinical laboratory experience, or completion of approved phlebotomy program
• Capable of performing phlebotomy and basic lab tasks under supervision

Responsibilities

• Phlebotomy—obtaining blood samples by capillary puncture, venipuncture and arterial puncture, processing specimens
• Taking orders for tests, patient registration, and coordinating with lab staff
