Qualifications

• HS Diploma or Equivalent required.
• Minimum 1-year clinical laboratory experience preferred.
• State Certified as CPT I or CPT II if the laboratory is located in a state where required.
• Current BCLS (AHA) certificate upon hire and maintain current preferred.

Responsibilities

• Performs clerical duties including computer entry, filing, and telephone communication.
• Greets patients and visitors in a polite and friendly manner.
• Demonstrates good communication skills in all interactions.
• Processes pathology, microbiology, immunology, hematology, coagulation, urinalysis, chemistry, and blood bank specimens.
• Stocks and orders routine supplies; assists in QA/QC procedures when trained.
• Assists in Pathology with training and evaluation; acts as runner within the department.
