**Clinical Laboratory Assistant**

**Work location:** Texas Health Dallas, 8200 Walnut Hill Lane, Dallas, Texas 75231
**Work hours:** PRN (As Needed)

**Here’s What You Need**
+ High School Diploma or Equivalent (Must comply with CLIA regulations regarding foreign education equivalency)
+ Six months experience as a phlebotomist or completion of a one semester course in phlebotomy
+ PBT(ASCP) - Phlebotomy Technician upon hire preferred.
+ One year of hospital phlebotomy experience with specimen processing preferred
**What You Will Do**
+ This position will perform phlebotomy, specimen processing and limited outpatient services.
+ Follows laboratory procedures for handling, and processing in a manner which is appropriate and follows safety guidelines
+ Follows laboratory procedures for handling unacceptable specimens
+ Follows established laboratory test procedures
+ Performs procedures in other areas of the Laboratory as required by hospital entity
