Job summary

4–6 weeks of in-department phlebotomy training is provided. Requirements include a high school diploma or GED and completion of a formal phlebotomy program; BLS certification may be required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Completion of a formal phlebotomy program.
• Phlebotomy experience preferred.
• May be required to have Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.

Responsibilities

• Phlebotomy, collecting, preparing and processing specimens.
• Assist in performing laboratory activities and other assigned tasks.
• Ensure accuracy and quality of laboratory data in a safe and professional environment.
