AdventHealth Orlando is seeking a dedicated Phlebotomy Technician to join the laboratory team. The role involves collecting specimens, preparing samples, and supporting routine lab operations in a fast-paced hospital environment.

The position requires basic phlebotomy skills, attention to safety protocols, and strong teamwork. The work schedule is daytime hours in Orlando, Florida, with opportunities for career development and patient-centered care.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required; relevant technical/vocational training preferred.
• Experience with phlebotomy and basic lab procedures is a plus.
• Ability to follow safety policies, PPE, and chemical handling guidelines.

Responsibilities

• Shift: Monday–Friday with rotated evenings; perform phlebotomy and sample processing as assigned.
• Prepare and process patient specimens, ensure proper labeling and tracking.
• Maintain laboratory cleanliness and sterilization of equipment and spaces.
• Assist in performance improvement activities and evaluate new procedures/equipment.
• Provide patient and staff education and resolve standard customer service issues within guidelines.
