Job summary

Providence Covenant Medical Center in Texas is seeking a dedicated team member to perform routine collection procedures and assist technologists across Blood Bank, Hematology, Chemistry, Urinalysis and Histology.

You will process laboratory specimens, coordinate clerical duties, and relay information between the laboratory and hospital departments to support accurate test ordering and reporting.

Qualifications

• Laboratory experience required.
• Phlebotomy experience preferred.
• Medical Terminology knowledge required.
• Computer literacy including Windows, Excel and Word.

Responsibilities

• Performs routine collection procedures and assists technologists/technicians across Blood Bank, Hematology, Chemistry, Urinalysis and Histology.
• Processes laboratory specimens.
• Coordinates clerical/reception duties related to laboratory testing and relays information between the laboratory, other hospital areas and clients.
