Job summary

Texas Health Resources invites you to join the Clinical Laboratory Assistant - Phlebotomist role at Texas Health Allen (1105 Central Expwy North). This PRN position requires night shift availability and supports phlebotomy duties and outpatient services in a fast-paced lab.

You will perform phlebotomy, specimen processing, and follow safety guidelines and lab procedures. Willingness to work across laboratory areas and handle other duties as needed is expected.

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or Equivalent; comply with CLIA regulations regarding foreign education equivalency.
  • Six months experience as a phlebotomist or completion of a one semester course in phlebotomy.
  • PBT(ASCP) – Phlebotomy Technician upon hire preferred.
  • One year of hospital phlebotomy experience with specimen processing preferred.

Responsibilities

  • This position will perform phlebotomy, specimen processing and limited outpatient services.
  • Follows laboratory procedures for handling and processing in a manner which is appropriate and follows safety guidelines.
  • Follows laboratory procedures for handling unacceptable specimens.
  • Follows established laboratory test procedures.
  • Performs procedures in other areas of the Laboratory as required by hospital entity.

Work hours: PRN (As Needed) – Variable Hours. Must have availability for night shift coverage.
