Job summary

Emerson Hospital in Concord, MA is seeking a Pathology & Cytology Clinical Laboratory Assistant on a per diem schedule to support pathology workflows and specimen transport. You'll assist with administrative tasks, technical preparation, and ensure accurate records while maintaining confidentiality.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Scan and organize reference laboratory reports into department systems.
• Transport pathology specimens from surgical areas to the laboratory.

• Maintain accurate records and ensure proper handling of laboratory materials.
• Support departmental workflow while maintaining confidentiality and safety standards.

What You'll Do

• Provide administrative and office support for the Pathology and Cytology departments

• Support departmental workflow while maintaining compliance with confidentiality and safety standards

Preferred Qualifications & Skills

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred
• Previous experience in a healthcare, laboratory, administrative, or clinical setting is helpful, but not required
• Basic computer proficiency and comfort learning new systems
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
