Job description

Principal Accountabilities:

1. Access, label, and process laboratory specimens.
2. Load specimens onto lab analyzers and equipment.
3. Perform patient registrations and order lab tests in the computer system.
4. Answer phone calls related to laboratory information.
5. Produce, sort, and deliver lab reports.
6. Pick up lab specimens from various hospital procedure areas.
7. Process and pack lab specimens for transport.
8. Perform other related duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Required:

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• 0-3 years of experience as a Lab Assistant or in a relevant area.

Preferred:

• Experience in laboratory, physician office, or clinic settings.
