• Perform specimen preparation, including centrifugation, aliquoting, volume measurement, labeling, storage, and packaging for in-house and reference laboratory testing.

• Ensure accuracy and quality throughout specimen processing and testing workflows.
• Conduct complex clerical and processing functions while maintaining accurate laboratory records and reports.
• Manage department inventory, including monitoring stock levels, receiving supplies, and organizing storage.
• Collect, handle, and prepare biohazardous waste for proper disposal.
• Follow all laboratory safety protocols and quality assurance standards.
• Communicate effectively with laboratory staff and other healthcare team members.
• Demonstrate independent decision-making, sound judgment, and the ability to prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment.

8:30pm - 7:00am
Includes weekdays, rotating weekends and some holidays

Position Summary

Join our Laboratory Services team as a Clinical Lab Assistant. In this role, you will support laboratory operations by performing specimen processing, clerical functions, inventory management, and quality-focused laboratory procedures. The Clinical Lab Assistant plays a vital role in ensuring accurate, timely, and reliable laboratory testing that supports exceptional patient care.
