Job summary

Qualifications

• Education: High School diploma or equivalent.
• Work Experience: 0–6 months.
• Certificate of Phlebotomy preferred.
• State licensure and/or professional certification dependent on position.

Responsibilities

• Provide quality venipuncture or capillary service for patients of all ages with lab orders.
• Accurate data entry of patient demographic information and assays ordered.
• Proper processing and handling of specimens per guidelines; document remedial actions.
• Maintain medical supplies per cost parameters; decontaminate assigned areas.
• Attend in-services, meetings, and continuing education as requested.
