Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent and must be 18 years or older if performing phlebotomy.
• Career ladder progression through levels II–IV requires completion of ladder requirements.
• DHS Fingerprinting Certification or ability to obtain fingerprint certification is required.
• A valid state driver''s license and eligibility for company auto insurance coverage may be required.
• Phlebotomy/CLA certification as defined by state regulations.

Responsibilities

• Assist technical lab staff and may be responsible for collection, receipt, and processing of biological specimens into the department.
• Prepare samples for analytical testing and ensure proper labeling and handling.
• May perform waived and/or limited moderate complexity testing if CLIA minimum requirements are met or approved by the CLIA Medical Director.
