Job summary

Sonora Quest Laboratories is seeking a Lab Assistant in the Lab-BUMCP department in Phoenix, AZ. This role assists technical staff with specimen collection, receipt, and processing, and may perform waived or limited moderate complexity testing under CLIA oversight.

In addition to following policies and safety protocols, you will handle specimens, maintain accuracy, and support patient care in a fast-paced diagnostic lab environment. Strong attention to detail and teamwork are essential.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent; 18+ if performing phlebotomy
• Phlebotomy/CLA certification as defined by state regulations
• DHS Fingerprinting Certification may be required
• Dependent on location, valid state driver’s license and eligibility for company auto insurance

Responsibilities

• Assist technical lab staff with collection, receipt and processing of specimens.
• Prepare samples for analytical testing and assist with waived or limited moderate complexity testing as approved by CLIA Director.
• Follow established policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements; maintain safety and quality standards.
