Job summary

Clinical Laboratories of Hawaii, LLC operates the Hilo Medical Center Laboratory and is seeking a Laboratory Assistant to support specimen collection, processing, and QA. This role emphasizes phlebotomy, safety, and accurate handling of samples to ensure high-quality patient care in a busy clinical lab.

The position is full-time, on-site in Hilo, HI, with day shifts and competitive benefits. Prior lab experience is helpful but not required beyond a HS diploma; training will cover PPE and PHI

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Strong reading, writing, and analytical skills.
• Ability to operate general laboratory equipment such as centrifuges and computers.

Responsibilities

• Ensure specimens are collected, processed, prepared, routed and stored (phlebotomy included).
• Recognize when corrective action is needed and implement solutions.
• Work in a laboratory with biological hazards and PPE requirements.
• Champion safety, compliance, and quality control.
