Job summary

North Memorial Health is seeking a Medical Laboratory Assistant to perform data entry, specimen collection and basic lab procedures at Maple Grove Hospital. The role supports department goals and patient care while upholding the system's mission and values.

Ideal candidates have an accredited program in Medical Laboratory Assisting, at least one year of clinical lab experience, and strong interpersonal and communication skills to work with multiple departments.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent (GED) required.
• Completion of an accredited program for Medical Laboratory Assistants or Medical Assistants.
• Minimum of one-year current laboratory experience in a clinic or hospital setting.
• Course in medical terminology and at least two semesters of college level biology and/or chemistry.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills and ability to handle stressful situations.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively with multiple departments.

Responsibilities

• Performs data entry, basic computer operations, specimen collection, processing, and basic laboratory procedures.
• Provides quality service and support to the department and team members.
