Job summary

  • Performs pre-analytic processing of specimens.
  • Instructs patients in urine sample collection.

Responsibilities & Requirements

Job Responsibilities

  • Performs pre-analytic processing of specimens; collects specimens; accessions, labels and distributes specimens including blood samples by venipuncture andcapillarypuncturein all patient areas
  • Instructs patients in the collection of urine samples and tolerance test in all patient areas.
  • Other duties assigned

Job Qualifications

  • Must be at least 18 years old and/or high school graduation or the equivalent.

Hours/Shifts:

  • 3 days a week 1300-2200 with rotating weekends.
Preferred Qualifications
  • 1 year experience preferred and/or graduation from phlebotomy program
