Overview:

Sentara Health is seeking a qualified individual to join our team as a Clinical Lab Assistant.

Position Status: Part Time

Position Location: Sentara Medical Group - Family Medicine - Virginia Beach, VA

Standard Working Hours: 2:00 pm - 7:00 pm, Monday - Friday

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Serve as the primary contact for specimen entry into the laboratory.
  • Label, process, and distribute specimens based on testing requirements.
  • Monitor supply levels in the specimen processing area.
  • Operate and maintain laboratory equipment.
  • Handle internal and external customer inquiries and resolve problems.
  • Interact frequently with hospitals, nursing facilities, and physician offices.

Education:

  • High School diploma or equivalent

Certification/Licensure:

  • No specific certification or licensure required

Experience:

  • One year of relevant experience preferred
