Job summary

Trinity Health is seeking a Cook to join the Food Production Team at Mercy Medical Center – North Iowa. Under supervision, you will prepare high-quality meals for patients, staff, and visitors, following therapeutic diets, recipes, and service guidelines.

You will assemble trays, maintain HACCP standards, rotate stock, and keep areas clean. The role requires good communication and teamwork, with opportunities to participate in department training and special functions.

Qualifications

• 2–3 years experience in food service.
• High School diploma or equivalent preferred.

Responsibilities

• Follow menus and production guides for item quantity; record servings.
• Prepare and serve food items per therapeutic diets, recipes, and guidelines.
• Assemble patient meal trays and nourishments as needed.
• Follow HACCP and food safety practices for storage, handling and holding.
• Label and rotate stored items (FIFO); maintain cleanliness and sanitation.
• Communicate effectively with customers and coworkers; support safety policies.
• Assist with catered functions and department training.
