Paramount Community Living and Rehab in Newton, KS is seeking a Cook/Grocery to support residents with nutritious meals. You will prepare meals, follow dietary guidelines, and work with the dietary team to meet special diets while keeping a clean, safe kitchen.

This full-time role includes delivering groceries to care areas, maintaining records, and collaborating with healthcare staff to ensure resident satisfaction. Strong kitchen safety, communication and organization are essential.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; culinary certification or degree preferred.
• Proven cook experience, preferably in healthcare or institutional setting.
• Ability to lift and move heavy objects, stand for extended periods in a fast-paced environment.
• Excellent verbal and written communication; ability to work with a diverse team and residents' families.
• Experience with special diets and dietary restrictions is a plus.

Responsabilités

• Prepare and cook meals according to planned menus and dietary guidelines.
• Follow standardized recipes and portion control procedures for consistency and quality.
• Maintain kitchen cleanliness and sanitation, proper handling and storage of food items.
• Adjust recipes to accommodate residents' dietary restrictions and preferences while meeting nutritional needs.
• Assist in ordering and stocking food supplies and maintain inventory levels.
• Collaborate with dietary staff to review menus and address residents' dietary needs.
• Maintain accurate records of food temperatures, portions, and dietary modifications.
• Participate in ongoing training on food safety standards and best practices in food prep.
• Deliver groceries to the houses.
