Job summary

The University of Kansas Health System is seeking a PRN Inventory Control Associate to ensure clinical areas have the right inventory at the right time and in the right location. You will stock, fulfill orders, perform cycle counts, manage expiration, and support bedside stocking while delivering excellent customer service.

Primary duties include using electronic systems for picking, ensuring FIFO accuracy, and collaborating with managers to optimize inventory levels in a fast-paced healthcare

Qualifications

  • High School Graduate or GED.
  • 1 or more years of experience in the Healthcare industry or inventory control.
  • 1 or more years of experience in Outlook, Word and Excel.

Responsibilities

  • Adheres to departmental policies and procedures, objectives, quality assurance and technical functions.
  • Participates in team huddles and acts as a contributing team member with new ideas and feedback to improve workflows.
  • Professionally interacts within the department and across the health system to resolve needs via electronic, phone, or in person communication.
  • Actively seeks opportunities to continuously improve service levels and relationships with customer and departmental leaders.
  • Maintains quality and integrity of supplies.
  • Facilitates proper inventory management by using FIFO methodology.
  • Work with computer systems and applications to perform daily duties.
  • Perform regular cycle counts at the direction of the assigned areas Manager.
