Job summary

Desert Parkway Behavioral Healthcare Hospital is seeking an Outpatient Behavioral Health Clinician to provide direct mental health support to individuals in the community. The clinician will conduct assessments, develop treatment plans, and participate in discharge planning.

The role requires a Master’s degree in a related field, an active Nevada license, and at least one year of clinical experience. Proficiency with EHRs and strong communication are essential.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in social work, counseling, psychology, or related field.
• Active Nevada state license required (LCSW/LMFT/LCPC or Board Approved Internship).
• Minimum 1 year of clinical experience in diagnosis, psychotherapy and assessment-based treatment planning preferred.
• Experience with treatment planning and case management is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Provide group therapy and direct mental health support.
• Complete mental health assessments to determine needs and plan of care.
• Develop and implement plans of care; document progress in the EHR.
• Prepare discharge plans and coordinate with family and caretakers.
• Maintain confidentiality and adhere to ethical guidelines; communicate with the treatment team.

Job description

We are hiring a dedicated Outpatient Behavioral Health Clinician to join our team and provide direct mental health support to individuals in our community. Provide group therapy, discharge planning, treatment planning, and assessments. Complete mental health assessments on all patients to determine social service needs, diagnosis and plan of care. Evaluate patient data and develops and implements a plan of care for each patient. Work cooperatively as a member of the interdisciplinary treatment team. Complete progress notes in a timely manner. Utilize established resources to assist in completing case management duties independently. Document treatment provided to patients in their medical record based on established case management guidelines. Complete all reports for suspected abuse as legally mandated and consistently informs supervisor. Communicate with family members and caretakers regarding the needs of the patient and anticipated plans. Create appropriate discharge plans as needed for the patient's discharge. Schedule is Monday - Friday Master's degree in social work, Counseling, Psychology, or a related field required. Active, unencumbered Nevada State license required (LCSW, LMFT, LCPC or Board Approved Internship) Minimum one (1) year of clinical experience in diagnosis, psychotherapy and assessment-based treatment planning preferred. Experience with therapeutic limit-setting or an understanding of level systems or other behavior management modalities helpful. Ability to maintain strict client confidentiality and follow ethical guidelines Strong communication, empathy, and organizational skills. Proficiency with electronic health records (EHR).
