Overview

The Department of Urology at the University of Kentucky, College of Medicine is seeking a Clinical Instructor to provide direct patient care at UK Chandler Medical Center and the Veterans’ Affairs Medical Center. This fellowship position provides clinical support specifically for endourology, but will also provide assistance to the general urology case load.

In addition, to providing direct patient care, the faculty member will supervise residents and students. They will also be responsible for organizing and executing a broad range of clinical and educational programs in support of the University of Kentucky’s patient care, education and training missions.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care at UK Chandler Medical Center and the Veterans’ Affairs Medical Center, with a focus on endourology and participation in the general urology case load.
• Supervise residents and students; participate in clinical teaching and supervision.
• Organize and execute clinical and educational programs supporting patient care, education, and training missions.
• Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders within the Medical Center.

Qualifications

• MD, DO, or equivalent required.
• Completion of ACGME-accredited Urology training program; eligibility to obtain licensure or possess current licensure to practice medicine in Kentucky.
• Eligibility for board certification in Urology.
• Demonstrated ability in patient care and clinical teaching.
