Position: Clinical Instructor in Emergency Medicine at Mississippi State University Animal Emergency and Referral Center (AERC). Afterhours and Weekend shifts. Responsibilities

• Teaching responsibilities involving didactic and clinical training for veterinary professional students and veterinary medical technology students.
• Service responsibilities including emergency room shifts, primary and secondary clinical case management, and consultation with private practitioners.
• Take a leadership role in improving the quality of the AERC emergency service, enhancing patient care and teaching during veterinary student rotations.
• Participation in continuing education programs.

Qualifications

• Minimum: DVM or equivalent degree and eligibility for licensure in Mississippi.
• Preferred: Teaching experience and Small Animal Emergency/Critical Care experience or training.
• Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: Excellent telephone and email communication skills; ability to work in a team environment with doctors, staff, and students to provide veterinary care and aid in instruction of veterinary students and veterinary technology students.

Working Conditions
