Job summary

Job Summary

  • Assist in simulation and laboratory teaching and/or testing, lead BSN or ADN students in the assigned clinical area.

Qualifications
Education
  • Required Education: Bachelor's in Nursing
  • Preferred Education: Master's in Nursing
Licenses/Certifications

Required: RN licensed in the State of Florida

Experience
  • Successful professional experience of at least 2 (two) years as a registered nurse in the areas of medical-surgical, critical care and/or community nursing is required.
  • Personal commitment to teach in a Christian university and be in agreement with the mission of SEU.
Preferred Experience
  • Successful professional experience in the areas of psychiatric, maternal-child and pediatric nursing is desired.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
  • Medical-surgical, critical care, and/or community nursing knowledge is required
Preferred Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
  • Successful professional experience in nursing education in the clinical setting is preferred.
Work Environment

Schedule is flexible depending on the needs of the nursing department

Training

All new hires and employees transferring into a new position will have a 90-day probationary period within which to learn the functions of the job and to be evaluated. Following the probationary period, the employee can transition to regular status, have the probationary period extended in order to receive more training, or employment can be terminated. Required compliance training is as follows:

Screening

All full-time positions at SEU are deemed security-sensitive and require background checks. Employees required to drive their own personal vehicle, a rental car or an SEU vehicle in performance of their duties must pass an MVR records check and meet the requirements of the University’s insurance carrier in order to meet the requirements of the position.
