Job description

Acts as a liaison to the business units in support of clinical information systems. Collaborates with quality, performance improvement, and analytics teams to ensure the highest quality and safety through the appropriate use of the electronic health record. Provides expert assistance and support to clinical end-users of the clinical information system. Assists in implementing upgrades, enhancements, and maintenance of the Henry Ford Health clinical information system. Works with interdisciplinary teams to develop appropriate processes and procedures for new clinical applications. Provides education and orientation to staff on the use of relevant clinical information systems.

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:
  • Associate’s Degree in Nursing or Respiratory Therapy with 5 years of healthcare-related experience; Bachelor’s degree preferred.
  • Proficient in the use of electronic medical records through training and testing. Certification in Epic modules/applications and/or credentialed trainer in Epic is preferred.
  • Two years of experience to understand information systems, implementation processes, and analysis methods. Basic hospital process knowledge required.
  • Experience with personal computers, information management, and computerized clinical systems. Excellent project management and communication skills needed.
  • Working knowledge of various clinical systems.
  • Analytical skills to evaluate systems, procedures, and processes and identify solutions.
  • Strong communication, organization, and customer service skills to effectively interact with hospital personnel.
CERTIFICATIONS/LICENSURES REQUIRED:
  • Must hold a license in Michigan as a Registered Nurse or Respiratory Therapist.
