Boone County Health Center is seeking a Clinical Informatics Specialist to bridge healthcare and technology, focusing on EMR optimization, workflow improvement, and AI-enabled tool evaluation. The role collaborates with clinicians, leadership, and IT to enhance patient care and reduce administrative burden.

Formación

• Minimum of three (3) years of healthcare experience preferred.
• Understanding of patient care workflows and clinical documentation.
• Interest in healthcare technology, process improvement, or EMR systems.
• Cerner experience is helpful but not required.
• Associate's or Bachelor's degree in IT/Health Informatics preferred.
• Minimum of three (2) years of experience in service desk, systems administration, networking, software support, healthcare IT, or related technical roles.

Responsabilidades

• Optimize EMR functionality to enhance clinical workflows and patient care outcomes.
• Collaborate with clinical staff, providers, leadership, IT, and vendor partners to implement and maintain EMR tools and applications.
• Participate in system upgrades, enhancements, testing, implementation, training, and post-implementation reviews.
• Analyze workflows and identify opportunities to improve efficiency, reduce redundancy, and enhance the user experience.
• Assist with evaluating and implementing emerging healthcare technologies, including AI-enabled tools.
• Provide reporting and data analysis to support regulatory compliance, quality improvement initiatives, and operational decision-making.
• Participate in technology governance and strategic planning activities.
• Deliver end-user training and support for clinical applications and workflows.
• Provide Level 1 IT support, including password resets and basic troubleshooting.
• Participate in an on-call rotation approximately one week per month. Additional compensation is provided for on-call responsibilities.
• Manage projects and assigned initiatives while maintaining accountability for timelines and outcomes.
