Job summary

Texas A&M University Health Science Center in Dallas is seeking a Clinical Informatics Analyst to lead administration and optimization of the College of Dentistry’s EHR systems. You will ensure data integrity, workflow efficiency, and regulatory compliance across clinical operations.

The role requires strong communication, project management experience, and familiarity with HL7/FHIR interfaces. On-site, Monday–Friday schedule with benefits and professional development opportunities.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in applicable field or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Five years of related experience in a medical/clinical/healthcare setting including experience in two or more of the following: EHR/EMR systems, medical billing systems, ancillary clinical systems and/or document management systems.
Experience with project management methodologies and tools (e.g., PMP, Agile, Lean, ITIL).

Responsibilities

System Administration: primary administrator for the College’s EHR systems, ensuring stability, usability, compliance, and data accuracy.
Project Management: leads and manages major informatics and clinical system implementation projects.
Compliance: provides training and ongoing support to faculty, staff, students, and clinical teams on EHR usage and regulatory compliance.
Business Relationships: manages relationships with EHR vendors and clinical technology partners.
Strategic Planning: participates in planning for health information systems to support growth, accreditation, and quality improvement.
Continuous Improvement: develops policies, workflow documentation, and training resources.
