Job summary

Ladders is seeking a Clinical Informaticist to shape how clinical and administrative data is structured, harmonized, and validated across connected healthcare systems. You will work with stakeholders to translate data design needs into clear standards that support interoperability and data integrity.

The role centers on building FHIR-aligned models, improving data integration across sources, and serving as a SME on clinical coding and ontology frameworks.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field.
• Professional Certificate or Master’s Degree in Clinical Informatics, or equivalent experience.
• 5+ years of experience in clinical informatics or data integration within Healthcare or Life Sciences.
• Proficiency in interoperability standards including HL7 v2, FHIR, CDA/CCD-A, and NCPDP, as well as data models such as FHIR R4/R5 and OMOP.
• Advanced skills in Python and SQL.

Responsibilities

• Architect FHIR-compliant data models aligned with implementation guides and internal standards.
• Design and implement data harmonization strategies to unify data from EHRs, HIEs, and claims.
• Serve as the subject matter expert for clinical ontologies such as SNOMED CT and LOINC.
• Establish validation frameworks to ensure data accuracy and integrity.
• Create documentation that communicates data design requirements to technical and non-technical stakeholders.

This role will help shape how clinical and administrative data is structured, harmonized, and validated across connected healthcare systems.

You will partner with technical and non-technical stakeholders to translate data design needs into clear standards that support interoperability and data integrity.

The work will center on building FHIR-aligned models, improving data integration across sources, and serving as a subject matter expert on clinical coding and ontology frameworks.

Location: Remote - US based candidates only, no visa sponsorship available

Compensation: $119,000 – $179,000 annually
