Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent with some college.
• Bachelor's degree in a helping profession.
• Minimum of 5-7 years of experience providing and/or supervising social services.
• Demonstrated leadership, coaching, and team supervision experience.
• Strong communication, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
• Ability to respond effectively and calmly in high-pressure or conflict situations.
• Valid driver's license, private automobile insurance, and ability to be insured.
• Basic computer proficiency, including MS Office and electronic medical record (EMR) systems.

• Supervise evening staff across Chestnut's 24-hour housing programs.
• Hire, train, mentor, and evaluate staff, interns, and volunteers.
• Provide leadership in the development, planning, implementation, and evaluation of housing services.
• Deliver direct, trauma-informed services to consumers and family members as needed.
• Promote harm reduction and recovery-oriented practices focused on hope, respect, empowerment, wellness, and connectedness.
• Serve as a role model for professionalism, sound judgment, and calm, effective conflict resolution.
• Collaborate with internal teams and community partners to ensure continuity and quality of care.
• Promote Chestnut's culture of customer service excellence through adherence to organizational standards.
• Maintain confidentiality and security of all consumer and organizational information.
• Perform other duties as assigned or negotiated with supervisor.

This role mentors, coaches, and supports frontline staff while ensuring high-quality, trauma-informed, recovery-oriented services for individuals living in our housing programs.
