Job summary

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree plus 5 years of supervised mental health experience, or a master’s degree with <1000 hours supervision.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills; trauma-informed approach encouraged.
  • Valid driver's license, auto insurance, and insurability.
  • Proficiency with basic software and electronic medical records.

Responsibilities

  • Deliver individual, family, and group services using trauma-informed practices.
  • Create and implement personalized treatment and safety plans.
  • Provide care in clients' natural environments when appropriate.
  • Complete assessments, treatment plans, progress notes, and authorizations on time.
  • Submit progress notes within 48 hours and finish plans by due dates.
  • Maintain client confidentiality and privacy of information.
  • Meet training, CE, and supervision requirements (including Rule 132).
  • Screen new housing referrals and connect clients with supports.
  • Collaborate with teams and community partners to improve outcomes.
  • Participate in team meetings and case staffings; cover for colleagues as needed.

Overview

Chestnut Health Systems™ is seeking a part-time Housing Clinician to provide recovery-oriented, trauma-informed mental health services to individuals involved in housing programs. This role supports consumers in achieving stability, wellness, and independence through individualized, person-centered care delivered in both office and community-based settings.

The Housing Clinician plays a critical role in assessment, treatment planning, service delivery, and coordination with internal teams and community partners, particularly those supporting housing stability and substance use recovery.

This part-time position is scheduled to work Saturday/or Sunday from 10:00 AM to 6 PM (this shift is flexible up to an hour either way).

The anticipated starting pay for new hires for this position is between $21.00 - $22.00 an hour.

Responsibilities
  • Deliver individual, family, and group services using trauma-informed and recovery-focused practices

  • Carry out care based on clients' personalized treatment and safety plans

  • Deliver care directly in clients' natural environments when appropriate

  • Complete assessments, treatment plans, progress notes, and service authorizations on time

  • Submit all progress notes within 48 hours of service and finish plans before due dates

  • Keep all client and organizational information strictly private

  • Fulfill training, continuing education, and supervision requirements (including Rule 132)

  • Conduct screenings for new housing referrals as assigned

  • Connect clients with housing supports, substance use treatment, and community resources

  • Consistently achieve assigned service levels and workload expectations

  • Work closely with internal teams, community partners, and client support systems to improve outcomes

  • Participate in team meetings, case staffings, and program development

  • Assist and cover for team members when needed

Qualifications
  • Must have a bachelor’s degree and 5 years’ supervised mental health experience;
  • ORa master’s degree in counseling, psychology, social work or related field with less than 1,000 hours of supervised mental health experience
  • Must have a valid driver’s license, private automobile insurance and be insurable
  • Requires basic computer skills and experience to include MS Word, MS Excel, Outlook, Adobe Acrobat and an electronic medical record (EMR) Effective communication with employees, consumers, potential consumers, and support systems.
  • Ability to respond effectively and calmly in conflict or emotional situations.
  • Good keyboarding skills.
  • Data entry experience – preferably with an electronic health record or electronic billing system.
  • Knowledge of standard office procedures and use of office equipment.
  • Must have a valid driver's license, private automobile insurance, and be insurable

There are several factors taken into consideration in determining base pay, including but not limited to: job-related qualifications, skills, education, experience, local market conditions, and internal equity.
