Job summary

MeadowWood Behavioral Hospital in New Castle, Delaware is seeking a dedicated Environmental Services team member to maintain a clean and safe patient care environment. You will contribute to infection control and comfort for patients and staff.

Responsibilities include performing cleaning tasks, disinfecting rooms and surfaces, laundering linens, stocking supplies, and preparing rooms for meetings and events.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Previous experience in housekeeping in a healthcare environment preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform cleaning and custodial tasks for general upkeep and cleanliness of the facility.
• Disinfect rooms, furniture, fixtures, equipment and supplies using appropriate processes.
• Move and arrange furniture, clean kitchens, sweep, scrub and polish floors as needed.
• Launder soiled linens as directed.
• Maintain adequate cleaning supplies for department/unit use.
• Properly clean and store all equipment and supplies after each shift.
• Prepare rooms for meetings and arrange decorations and furniture for facility functions.
• Stock supplies as needed.
• Follow all infection control measures.
