Job summary

Beth Israel Lahey Health in Exeter, NH is seeking a dedicated Environmental Services Associate to perform general and targeted cleaning across the hospital. Responsibilities include possibly training new hires, responding to calls promptly, reporting repairs, and ensuring equipment is properly tagged and maintained.

• Must be able to implement oral and written instructions.
• 0-6 months experience

Responsibilities

• Cleans all areas as assigned and cleans floors using vacuuming, dry mopping, and damp mopping techniques.
• Performs wall washing and window cleaning.
• Handles waste removal, including general, biohazard/infectious waste, sharps, hazardous, and confidential waste.
• Uses cleaning chemicals in accordance with use guidelines.
• Issues, delivers, and removes linens to assigned areas in accordance with established protocols and documents all issues.
• Maintains and replenishes supplies on carts and in closets in an orderly, clean fashion in accordance with established protocols.
• May provide job training for new hires.
• Job assignment may require carrying a beeper and monitoring the bed tracker system, responding to all calls in a timely manner.
• Reports all aesthetic issues and repair needs to manager.
• Reports, removes, and tags any defective, damaged, or broken equipment using LOTO procedures as required.
