Job summary

ScionHealth's Kindred Hospital Indianapolis is seeking a Pharmacist to dispense medications, interpret orders, and provide drug information in a long-term acute care setting. You will collaborate with the Director of Pharmacy and hospital staff to ensure safe, effective pharmacotherapy for adults and geriatrics.

The role includes supervising technicians, maintaining aseptic technique, and supporting clinical and quality initiatives across departments.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited School of Pharmacy with Pharmacist degree.
• Current state license in good standing.
• BCLS certification.
• Minimum three months of pharmacy experience.

Responsibilities

• Compounds and dispenses medications per physician prescriptions.
• Interprets orders, ensures accuracy and safety of therapy.
• Consults with medical staff on drug information and regulatory issues.
• Supervises technicians and maintains aseptic technique.
• Maintains medication security and inventory control.
• Participates in performance improvement and education programs.
