Job summary

Sigmund Healthcare in New York City is seeking a Health-Tech Software Fellow for a 1–2 year program designed for recent graduates aiming at medical or biomedical informatics careers. You will build, test, and scale clinical services alongside clinicians and engineers.

You will gain hands-on experience with modern full-stack architectures and direct mentorship in clinical informatics and health‑tech compliance, preparing you for advanced studies or industry roles.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Data Science, Biomedical Informatics or related field.
• Solid foundation in data structures, algorithms, OOP, and database fundamentals.
• Familiarity with Python/Node.js/TypeScript, REST APIs, SQL/NoSQL, and Git is expected.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain backend services, RESTful APIs, and database schemas supporting clinical workflows.
• Write clean, maintainable, and well-tested code using modern software design principles.
• Collaborate with clinicians and researchers to prototype, test, and iterate on platform features.
• Assist in integrating third-party clinical APIs, data pipelines, and internal tooling.
• Participate in code reviews and security/ HIPAA best-practices optimization.
