Job summary

NYC Health + Hospitals Bellevue is seeking a Pharmacy professional to supervise a Pharmacy unit and perform as a specialty clinical pharmacist in a hospital setting. The role emphasizes compliance with regulatory requirements, medication safety, and collaboration with a multidisciplinary team.

Minimum qualifications include a valid NY State license to practice pharmacy and at least two years post-licensure experience (or a residency/certification).

Qualifications

• Possession of a valid NY State license to practice pharmacy.
• Two years of post licensure experience; or Completion of a post graduate specialty residency or fellowship program; or Current Pharmacy Board Certification.

Responsibilities

• Fills prescriptions and patient orders, resolves discrepancies in patient therapy, and follows-up on problems.
• Utilizes clinical data in evaluating physician orders to ensure appropriate therapy.
• Provides and documents drug information and patient counseling.
• Directs and utilizes personnel including technicians, aides and clerical staff.
• Supervises and coordinates the operation of a Pharmacy unit or major function.
• Prepares departmental reports, including the performance of statistical analyses.
