Job summary

New Freedom is seeking a Clinical Group Facilitator to deliver curriculum-based group programming focused on recovery and reentry. You will work with the treatment team to foster growth, accountability, and long‑term wellness through engaging group sessions.

The role emphasizes facilitating groups, promoting healthy coping skills, and building confidence in members as they reintegrate into the community.

Qualifications

  • Must meet Behavioral Health Technician (BHT) requirements.
  • Minimum one year of group facilitation experience.
  • Experience facilitating behavioral health, recovery, peer support, reentry, or educational groups.
  • Strong group facilitation, classroom management, and communication skills.
  • Strong understanding of recovery, behavioral health, substance use, and reentry principles.

Responsibilities

  • Facilitating curriculum-based recovery, reentry, and life-skills groups for members.
  • Creating engaging group experiences that promote participation, learning, and personal growth.
  • Supporting members in identifying goals, strengths, and recovery‑focused action plans.
  • Monitoring group dynamics and communicating member concerns to the treatment team.
  • Helping members build effective coping skills, social skills, and self-confidence.
  • Documenting services, group attendance, and member progress accurately and timely.
  • Collaborating with therapists and treatment team members to support quality member care.

About the Role

The Clinical Group Facilitator serves as a recovery-focused role model and group leader who provides curriculum-based group facilitation services to members participating in New Freedom programs. This position focuses on delivering engaging group experiences, supporting recovery planning, promoting healthy coping skills, and helping members build the tools necessary for successful community reintegration. Working closely with the treatment team, the Clinical Group Facilitator helps create an environment that encourages growth, accountability, and long‑term recovery success.
