Job summary

Connecticut Renaissance, Inc. seeks a Clinical Group Facilitator to provide clinical group therapy in CT Renaissance's residential programs.

You will deliver person-centered, trauma-informed, culturally responsive services for individuals with substance use and co-occurring disorders, using CBT, DBT, Seeking Safety, USF Model and related modalities. Qualifications

  • Master's degree with Licensure in Behavioral Health (LPC, LCSW, LMFT, LADC) in CT.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in behavioral health; residential setting preferred.
  • Experience in trauma-informed care preferred.
  • Experience with substance abuse clients and co-occurring disorders.
  • CPR/First Aid certified.

Responsibilities

  • Facilitate clinically based substance use and mental health groups.
  • Input all clinical documentation in CT Renaissance's EHR accurately and timely.
  • Utilize motivational enhancement strategies aligned with readiness to change.
  • Collaborate with the multidisciplinary team to plan client care.
  • Coordinate with referral sources on client progress and prepare reports.
  • Attend required internal and external meetings.
  • Provide urinalysis/breathalyzer testing when indicated.
  • Assist with daily residential tasks and client transportation when needed.
  • Attend trainings and supervision to enhance knowledge and skills.
  • Participate in regular clinical supervision.
  • Adhere to state/federal regulations, DSS/ASAM standards, and funding requirements.
  • Maintain licensure, certification, and continuing education.
  • May perform other duties assigned by supervisor.

Job description

  • The Clinical Group Facilitator isresponsible for providing clinical group therapy to clients in CT Renaissance'sresidential programs. The Clinical GroupFacilitator will deliver person-centered, culturally responsive,trauma-informed services for individuals with substance use and/or co-occurringdisorders. Interventions delivered will beclinical and include, but not be limited to CBT, DBT, Seeking Safety, USFModel, and Co-Occurring Groups. Facilitator is responsible for managing anddelivering group content, maintaining client documentation and meeting funderrequirements for service delivery.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Facilitate a wide arrayof clinically based substance use and mental health-oriented groups.
  • Input all clinicaldocumentation in Connecticut Renaissance's EHR accurately and timely.
  • Utilize motivational enhancement and engagement strategiesappropriate to the individual's stage of readiness and desire to change.
  • Collaboratewith the multidisciplinary team to direct and plan client care and assessneeds and performance within the program.
  • Where required, communicatewith referral sources on the status of each client's progress andperformance within the program, including the preparation of reports andCDCS data entry (West)
  • Participate in all requiredinternal and external meetings.
  • Provide urinalysis/breathalyzer testing when indicatedand within guidelines of monitoring.
  • Assistwith daily residential tasks including but not limited to headcount, tours,medication monitoring, logbook maintenance and transportation ofclients when needed
  • Attend all required trainings and supervisions toenhance knowledge and skill level.
  • Participate in regularlyscheduled clinical supervisions.
  • Adhere to state and federalregulations, DSS and ASAM requirements, and standards of accreditation,facility licensure and funding sources.
  • Assist with the development ofgroup content.
  • Maintainprofessional licensure, certification, and continuing education.
  • May perform other dutiesassigned by supervisor.
Required
Knowledge, Skills, Abilities and Other Characteristics:
Knowledge Of:
  • Treatment of substance use and co-occurringdisorders, including evidence-based interventions.
  • The biological and psychosocial dimensions of substanceuse, mental health and co-occurring disorders, including diagnosis, assessmentand treatment.
  • Residential treatment and milieu.
  • HIPAA regulations and other regulatory laws
  • Documentation within an Electronic Health Record.
  • Group therapy process and content.
  • General office software, particularly MicrosoftOffice Suite.
Ability To:
  • Communicate effectively both verbally and inwriting.
  • Manage priorities effectively to meet deadlines anddemonstrate multi-tasking skills.
  • Ability to employ effective organizational skills tomeet goals.
  • Able to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Utilize therapeutic modalities in both group andindividual settings.
Educationand Experience:
  • Master'sdegree with Licensure in Behavioral Health (LPC, LCSW, LMFT, LADC) in CT. OR AssociateLicensure in Behavioral Health (LPC-A, LMSW, LMFT-A).
  • Minimumof 3 years of working experience in behavioral health field; experience in aresidential setting preferred.
  • Experiencein trauma informed care preferred.
  • Experiencewith substance abuse clients, co-occurring diagnosed clients and criminaljustice population preferred.
  • CPR/FirstAid Certified
Other:
  • Mustbe dependable and reliable, detailed oriented; and able to interfaceeasily with clients, staff, and referral sources.
  • Mustbe able to operate a motor vehicle.
  • Positionrequires climbing stairs and the ability to lift 20 lbs or more.
  • May need totravel to other CTR locations.
  • Mustsuccessfully complete the introductory probationary employment period.
  • Musthave a valid CT driver's license.
