Job summary

A.T. Still University's Missouri School of Dentistry & Oral Health (ATSU-MOSDOH) is seeking a full-time, exempt Clinical General Dentistry Faculty at the St. Louis Dental Center to supervise students in the Comprehensive Care Unit (CCU).

The role requires a DDS/DMD and at least five years in dental teaching and in private practice; candidates must understand dental practice operations and demonstrate leadership, teamwork, and strong communication. Travel between St.

Qualifications

DDS or DMD degree required.
5+ years experience in dental teaching environment.
5+ years experience in private dental practice.
Knowledge of dental practice operations.
Able to work independently and in a team.

Responsibilities

Supervise students in the comprehensive care unit to provide comprehensive care to their patient family.
Maintain Standards of Care and ensure continuity of care for all patients in the CCU.
Participate in clinic quality assurance and continuous quality improvement measures.
Work on the clinic floor 4-5 days per week, depending on faculty practice day.
Assist staff, faculty, and administration in St. Louis and Kirksville to train adjunct faculty to achieve clinical calibration.
Coordinate with the Director of Clinical Faculty for staff leave and clinic floor coverage.
Complete administrative reports and ATSU-required training (RET).
Track student progress and collaborate on student deficiencies.
Assure patient, student, and staff safety and communication.
Perform dental procedures on patients as needed.
Serve on committees as assigned.
Support after-hours emergency care program as needed.
